Two casualties were reported within hours while the other 28 workers were killed due to the exposure to the radiation in the following weeks. Another hundred succumbed to the radiation with acute radiation sickness.

Until the day the area near by the Chernobyl is inhabitable and this all was the consequence of the absence of safety culture. The worker prioritized the quick results over the safety and they ignored the safety protocols and these type of negligence caused emergence to ACTVET approved training institutes.
